The sun is shining. That only means one thing: dust off the barbecue and do a little preparation before entering the park. Or “a lot”, to be precise. Barbecuing is often easier in our minds than in practice… Could you use some practical tips for barbecuing? With these tips, you can barbecue with ease!
Dry bite
Do you know how much you want to bite into that freshly prepared hamburger, but from the first bite you feel like you’re biting into a piece of rubber? Let’s just say that the question is who will occupy the position of barbecue master. By placing an ice cube on your burger while it’s cooking, your burger gets hydrated, so to speak, simply! This way, it comes out of the barbecue much tastier and juicier. Stay hydrated, we say! You can also replace the ice cube with a piece of butter.
Cabbage stick?
It’s sometimes said that “food isn’t ready until it’s black”. It’s not really healthy, and it’s not pleasant either if the stick on which your ingredients are threaded is also blackened. Fortunately, it’s very easy to solve. Pre-wet the skewers in a bowl of water, preferably for 5 to 10 minutes. At least it won’t burn on the barbecue.
Warm beer?
Barbecuing is done in warm weather, which doesn’t mean you want hot drinks either. So wrap your drink bottle in a tea towel or toilet paper, then place it under the tap. Put it in the freezer for about 10-15 minutes and it will come out frosty! Ahhh.
Don’t have a freezer at your disposal? Then do the same, but place the bottle in the coolest, windiest place you can find.
Crying? Wasp? Get rid of them
Summer means barbecue, but it may mean even more: wasps. Every second, a new privateer arrives on the coast for your food. Would you like to take a slightly different step from striking recklessly? Then try a bowl of chopped onion! Its scent keeps wasps away.

The aftermath…
If you thought the above onion was only useful against wasps, you were wrong. It’s also the ideal solution for the barbecue afterwards. The following cleaning is probably not your favorite part. And we all know that a simple sponge is not an optimal solution. Try this raw onion: cut it in half, skewer it on a fork and slide it onto the barbecue grill. Just rub and go!
Tip: nomadiQ BBQ grills are also dishwasher-safe.
Final barbecue tip!
One last tip to make your barbecue session a whole lot easier: buy a nomadiQ BBQ. This allows you to take your barbecue with you as if it were a small suitcase. Wherever you want, whatever food you want. Simply unpack!
